Gink ‘is assured now, what, the 2026 season? And Byron Murphy, Jr. and Mekhi Blackmon (still healthy, I hope) and Joshua Metellus and Harrison Smith are there, with their veteran presence, to anchor the secondary. But we have lost Camryn bynum in a free agency, who will leave after this next season? [Jonathan] Greenard is signed for three more years, but “Hitman Harry” will he hang up his crampons next February? The main thing is that we must keep [Defensive Coordinator Brian] Flores and its gang of coaches, and we need young players to develop quickly and fill these future anchoring positions.
The quarter room looks a bit thin, especially from the point of view of experience. If the Vikings were cursed with another season as we had two years ago, we could have serious problems. However, I am not as worried as I would be if I was a fan of the Browns. What a mess. A expensive mess. Deshaun Watson has become the child’s child for really bad quarter-Arrière signatures, making Johnny Manziel looks like a genius movement.
But this is not a concern for the Vikings. Our new fortified offensive line just needs to stay firm, to fold instead of breaking. To help JJ take a week, week, as he did in his only pre-season match last year. Because I do not think that 14 victories were a stroke of luck – far beyond expectations. And this year, I would not be surprised if they correspond or exceed this. They just need to keep their opponents on the neck for the 17 full games and throughout the playoffs. If it is last season last season, give it as well as long-term Lombardi fans to hoist in February.
And on a final and sentimental note, I read that this year could be the last season of Adam Thielen. And even if he is adapted to a rival in the past two years, he is a real local superstar that deserves to retire officially as Viking next year. So, if he hangs up his crampons after this season, the Minnesota should sign it to one of these one -day honorary contracts and let him retire in style in the first home game of the 2026 season.
