After spending three seasons at Pittsburgh, Deshields was transferred to Texas A&M for the 2024 season.

After being in a role of rotation during the 2022 season, Deshields became a starter at Pitt in 2023. That year, Deshields recorded 15 pressures as a blitzer and was a very sound plate, which helped him to hold the race defender and limit the sensors of pass by cover only 6.0 yards per catch-up.
During this last season, Deshields played 189 snaps in 12 games, including one start. He, once again, was a reliable platform and ranked well against the race by PFF metrics and yards limited in the game of passes.
It is also advisable to note throughout his career, Deshields has played 488 snaps of special teams and did it mainly on four of the six different phases.
