In recent weeks, there has been buzz on the professional fandom of Pope Leo XIV.
He is from Chicago and there was a buzz immediately where he preferred the Chicago Cubs or the White Sox of Chicago. It was shared that the White Sox are its baseball team of choice.
So what about the National Football League?
Joe Holden of CBS News Philadelphia shared a fascinating chronicle in which Father Augustin Joe Farrell shared intriguing nuggets of the new pope. A question that was raised was his reflections on the victory of the Super Bowl of the Philadelphia Eagles against the Chiefs of Kansas City in the Super Bowl Lix.
“While Pope Leo XIV is from Chicago, we learned about the Eagles of Philadelphia,” said Holden. “” He was not engaged with the Eagles, “said Farrell.” He was very happy when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. He was delighted with those of us from Philly. “Farrell said he hadn’t heard the Holy Father say” Go Birds “at any time of the Super Bowl.”
So there you have it. Pope Leo XIV was “very happy” that Philadelphia won the Super Bowl – not surprisingly because of his time spent at Villanova University. He recently received a personalized Chicago Bears jersey, so he is sure that they could be his team. But, it seems that the pope had his eyes on the Eagles against the Super Bowl Lix chiefs and was happy with the way the game ended up shaking.
