Jaxson Dart from New York Giants at the head of all the QB of the NFL rookie in this critical ranking

The success or failure of the first round quarters is generally limited to something much greater than the individual skills of the QB. More often than not, the first talented rounds that fail to do so because of the structure – or its absence – of the organization that selects them.

For New York giants and the choice of first round in 2025, Jaxson Dart, that should not be a problem. At least, not according to Pro Football Focus.

PFF ranked the 13 quarters that were selected in the draft of the NFL 2025 by the situation in which they landed as a pros, and it was Dart who dominated the list in n ° 1.

“Given the adjustment he will have to make the transition from the offensive he ran to Ole Miss in a professional style system, Jaxson Dart landed in a fairly good place in New York.” Dalton Wasserman wrote. “Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll did a spectacular job by developing Josh Allen in several seasons, and the giants signed two veterans – Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston – to relieve Dart pressure to start right away.

“Dart may have led the FBS in 2024, but it will not have to rush into the action of the game before it was ready.”

Dart will certainly benefit from learning under the supervision of Daboll, which was credited like the engine of the development of Josh Allen during his stay with the Buffalo Bills. And, as Pff noted, Dart is lucky that he was not rushed into alignment before he is ready.

However, there is a variable that could change it all. If Wilson (or Winston) falls flat at the start of the season, giant fans will become agitated. And for a GM couple and access, the leash of which is as short as any duo of the league, they may have any other choice than to put the reigns to Dart in an act of self-preservation.

Anyway, Dart has a chance to prosper at the start of his career that any of the best quarter-back hopes for this year. It has a strong distribution of skills players and, at worst, a competent offensive line. Combined with its double threat skills, the Dart ceiling is extremely high, even if its number is called in 2025.
