The old Texans weapon announces NFL’s retirement for a surprising reason

A former Houston Texans player decided to withdraw from the NFL, and his reasoning to call it is quite surprising.

The large receiver Chris Conley – who played for the Texans between 2021 and 2022 – revealed that he hangs up his crampons in order to pursue a career in cinema, Via Ian Rapoport from NFL Media.

Conley will return to the school of the University of Georgia to do so.

The 32 -year -old man was initially selected by the Kansas City chiefs in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft and spent the first four years of his career with chiefs to various degrees of success.

Conley then went to the Jacksonville jaguars, where he had the best year in his career in 2019 when he transported 47 receptions for 775 yards and five affected.

He finally signed with the Texans in 2021, and during his first campaign in Houston, he recorded 22 catches for 323 yards and some scores. Conley then played only two games with the Texans in 2022 before being released.

The 6 -foot 3 -inch – 3 -inch passing past – which is in fact born in Turkey – has also spent time with Tennessee titans and, more recently, the 49ers of San Francisco. Last year, he collected six games for 76 yards with the 49ers.

Conley did not quite materialize as a playmaker like many, even if he had some solid seasons earlier in his NFL mandate. I hope he will find much more success in his new business.
