The Patriots of New England entered the offseason with an urgent need for the broad receiver, and they addressed it by adding veterans Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins in free agency while selecting Kyle Williams in the third round of the NFL draft.
The problem, however, is that patriots may still not have a real option n ° 1, because Diggs recovers from a torn LCA and that the rest of their plaster contains basic products or largely unproven auxiliary parts.
However, an intriguing trade option could open for New England, because Terry McLaurin could disagree with Washington commanders lacking new contract.
McLaurin is entering the last year of his agreement and apparently negotiates an extension with commanders since the end of March, but nothing has come for the moment.
Well, Kristopher Knox de Bleacher Report has concocted a commercial idea against the Pats, proposing that they send a tight winger Austin Hooper and a second round choice in Washington in exchange for the double pro Bowl receiver.
“McLaurin, meanwhile, showed last season that he can be a great asset for a young developing quarter”, ” Knox wrote. “He did not have the best statistical season of his career when he was associated with [Jayden] Daniels, but the two were an incredibly effective duo – McLaurin provided a quarter of 133.0 when targeted. “”
McLaurin would certainly represent a sacred target for Drake Maye, who was largely devoid of weapons last season. Things are still a little risky in this regard before 2025, but swinging a job for McLaurin would quickly resolve this.
The capture, however, is that McLaurin is 30 years old in September and will order a lucrative contract. Would the patriots be ready to give a lot of money to wide aging?
