Ex-NFL QB wants Miami to exchange for the Browns Recruit passer

Miami Dolphins entered the NFL rumor mill thanks to a bold idea launched by the former quarter-arre of Green Bay Packers Kurt Benkert. In a recent article on X, formerly known as Twitter, Benkert suggested that Dolphins should consider negotiating against the Cleveland Browns, Dillon Gabriel recruit. He quoted the strong interest of the team for Gabriel during the draft of the NFL in 2025 and involved Miami considered him as a Function of the solid diagram Before Cleveland selects it.

“I would not be shocked to see #dolphins trade for #browns QB Dillon Gabriel at the end of the pre-season. They loved him a ton and saw him as an incredible scheme adapted to the athletic increase and were going to take him a few choices later, but then the Browns wrote it (by source).

The South Beach quarter situation has changed quickly. The dolphins wrote Quinn Ewers in the seventh round (231st in total), but their interest reported for Gabriel dates back to April. According to Benkert’s suggestion, Miami had targeted Gabriel as a strong adjusted scheme before the Browns fulfilled him, and they finally pivoted Ewers instead. With the history of the injuries of Tua Tagovailoa, the team must consider a plan B behind its starter – one that adapts to their system without disturbance. Meanwhile, Cleveland has also selected Sheder Sanders, adding more depth – and more uncertainty – in their own quarter -Arrière room.

    The article continues below

Unlike Sanders, which launches right -handed and may require system adjustments, Gabriel could intervene without changing the structure of the game book. Meanwhile, Zach Wilson, currently split like QB2, has spent most of its 2024 as a backup for Denver broncos. A movement for Gabriel could add stability to a graph of vulnerable depth.

From the point of view of the Browns, the idea is not entirely eccentric. Cleveland has selected Oregon’s product in the third round, but can face difficult decisions behind an injured Deshaun Watson, which recalls Achilles surgery. If Gabriel deposits in the camp, the Browns could seek to return it for the value – the dolphins supplying commercial rumors only a few weeks before the regular season.

Although Benkert has a limited NFL experience, he built a large platform thanks to his quarter analysis and Madden Content. Whether the dolphins seriously continue to move or not, the idea of negotiating for Gabriel shows how much Miami assesses all the options to strengthen their quarter room. With the history of the wounds of Tagovailoa and the offensive built for a left -hander, the idea of associating two pages of south may not be as far -fetched as it seems.
