Bryce Young has finished being calm.

The generally easy-to-live quarterrier surprised teammates and coaches on the first day of the Caroline Panthers Mandatory Tuesday when he faced the Pro Bowl Jaycee Horn corner half.

In an exchange drawn, Young showed a change of attitude and perhaps in the culture of the panthers.

Horn had heard the young call a piece in the group and turned the defense, to the roads that the receptors were running. Young didn’t let him slide.

“You should all believe in you,” shouted Young to Horn. The moment lasted more than 10 seconds, according to David Newton from ESPN. He also revealed a side of Young not often seen publicly during his first two NFL seasons.

“He speaks much more this year,” said Horn after practice. “He talks about garbage every day.”

The current set of panthers is far from being a competitor on paper, but after seven consecutive consecutive seasons, players believe that young people are vocal is a sign of change.

“The guys are finally tired of being the same old panthers of Caroline,” said Adam Thielen. “We want to come back to what they have done here in the past.”

Second-year coach Dave Canales praised the intensity of his team, especially Young. “He just has a challenge for him,” said Canales. “It’s just his way of competition.”

Young paid the departure position after being put in the bench at the start of last season, ending the year with a performance of five affected in a 44–38 victory in Atlanta. The panthers followed by selecting Tetairoa McMillan of Arizona in the first round of the NFL 2025 draft. Another weapon to give young people more confidence in its third season.

However, Canales said that Young is not rolling. “Even when I took him out, he stayed in the center,” said Canales. “He continued to lead.”

Now Young is entering the 2025 season with a stronger voice and a team ready to follow him.

This story was initially reported by Sports Athlon On June 11, 2025, where he appeared for the first time.
