Jones is doing this is nothing new for the colts or around the NFL. In fact, it is a common practice. Anthony Richardson also made it offset.

However, with Richardson who recovers from a shoulder injury, restHe is unable to launch at this time with his receivers. So, as was the case for most OTAs and all Minicamps, more repetitions will go to Jones.

As a newcomer, Jones is still learning the colt offensive, but his experience, which includes 69 career starts, can help shorten this learning curve.

In addition, the additional representatives he obtains in practice, as well as the possibility of working with receivers before the training camp, can also help their learning and growth within the offense.

The quarter competition has not been decided for the moment, but all the upcoming additional representatives of Jones will potentially give him the upper hand in the training camp. So far, head coach Shane Steichen has been “Very happy” With what he saw from Jones.
