New Orleans’ saints have made the headlines this off-season since they hired a new head coach to Kellen Moore after winning the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles. Then, they again made the headlines after the quarter-Arrière Derek Carr announced that he was retiring from football due to a prolonged and throbbing shoulder injury. It was an offseason of the roller coaster. But now, with the compulsory mini-cap, the titles have moved to more basic cuts or signatures, including Recent signature Running back cam akers after a test.
Akers signed with the saints after having spent two practices during the compulsory mini-camp. He joined Alvin Kamara, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kendre Miller and the recruit choice of Sixth Ronde Devin Neal in a crowded background. Kamara is easily the best ball carrier on the list, but the battle will be finished who will win the work for the second channel.
The choice of the second round in 2020 will be 26 years old in June and he still has a lot in the reservoir as a ball carrier in the NFL, but it may not be a starter. The Rams of Los Angeles drafted him and, after the 2023 season, exchanged him at the Vikings of Minnesota. Then, Akers signed with the Texans of Houston for the 2024-2025 season, but the Texans exchanged it to the Vikings during its second pass with the team halfway through the season.
He finished the year with 104 races and 444 yards on the ground with two affected. Then he had 14 receptions for 68 reception yards and three affected.

Discussing the addition of Akers during Tuesday media session, Moore completed what he saw the return veteran, as he brings a lot of experience to the table.
“Cam is an experienced player,” said Moore via CBS Sports. “He did a lot in this league. You always try to assess as many players as possible as you are going through this. So we had the impression that it was an excellent opportunity, and we are excited that he wanted to go out here.”
His career in the NFL was more jumped than expected, especially after being a five -star recruit from the Mississippi and a show at Florida State. In five seasons of the NFL, Akers totaled 502 soldier attempts for 2,025 yards and 13 affected, and it also captured 52 passes for 388 yards and four affected.
The new saints are online to use their play on the ground without a carr. Tyler Shough, their quarter recruit, most likely starts under the center, and he will need help to acclimatize to the NFL. Akers brings a great experience in a back room with several weapons.
