Dallas’ cowboys have relied on their rescue plated as much as any team in recent years, especially on the blind side.
Even when Tyron Smith has locked the position of the left tackle, he usually missed several games each season. In 2024, they had to rotate Chuma Eduga at times when the Tyler Guyton recruit had trouble.

This is why we expect Dallas to rely again on an offensive backup tackle at some point in 2025. With Disaga disappeared, they need someone else to intensify and fill the void like their swing tackle. The main candidate is the choice of fifth round in 2023 Asim Richards, who has 21 games and a start on his curriculum vitae.
Another candidate, however, began to push Richards, with the choice of seventh round of 2024 Nathan Thomas winning the representatives of the second team this offseason.
Interesting notes of @Nickharrisfwst on the #Cowboys offensive line depth:
– Nathan Thomas turned with the second attack on the team to LT, with others.
– Asim Richards looks really well before the training camp. He obtained work in the left and right tackle. pic.twitter.com/fyr5pe9ojg

A product from Louisville, Thomas is a massive player at 6 feet 4 inches and 331 pounds. He played well during his initial training camp, but the recruit was placed in the injured reserve before the first week of the regular season.
He and Richards seem to be ahead of Matt Waletzko, a choice of fifth round from 2022. They also have the veteran Hakeem Adeniji and the sixth Tour Recruue Ajani Cornelius in the mixture.
There may not be too much recognizable names, but cowboys have a lot of options. It makes even more impressive than Thomas standing out while he is fighting for his place in two years.
