When Washington Commanders Lost against the Eagles of Philadelphia in the NFC championship, it was a dark wardrobe. However, there was also excitement. Washington finally had a quarter-Arrière (Jayden Daniels) and came out of the best season of the franchise in 33 years.

The tight veteran Zach Ertz appreciated a rebirth last season with the commanders. He started the 17 games and finished second in the team with 66 receptions, 654 reception yards and seven affected. Ertz has attributed a large part of his success to his coaches and his teammates, often recognizing Dan Quinn, Kliff Kingsbury and Jayden Daniels, among others.

Ertz was particularly complementary to his young quarter-arre. After this loss of Philadelphia, Ertz said he wanted to be 22 to be able to play his entire career alongside Daniels. This offseason, Ertz was a free agent and clearly said he wanted to stay in Washington. Commanders also wanted him to return and they accepted a one -year agreement.

Ertz and Daniels both participated in the entire Washington intersane program, so the veteran saw the growth of his quarter in a few months.

“I think the level of comfort,” said Ertz on Friday after the third practice of the Washington training camp. “He is not on surprises. He knows exactly what he is entering each day. There is no competition necessarily as it was last year with [QB] Marcus [Mariota] enter this area. So, I think everyone knows that it is their ship, and we are trying to do our best every day to improve us in a team, but just its level of comfort. It has always been so ready, such high confidence, but I feel like I am doing another step. It is very effective there. He sees the game in a certain way. He speaks to the guys how he sees it, by ensuring that everyone is on his page and not necessarily just how each individual sees the game. So yes, I think he took even more possession of this thing as he should.

Ertz is not the first to rent the growth of Daniels. While the NFC East enemies of Washington hope for a second -year crisis, Daniels focuses on being even better than it was as a recruit.
