THE Arizona cardinals Have a number of notable position battles because they started the training camp. Some battles are intended to start jobs, while others are intended for key reserve points. A pair of positions that would have key battles – the right guard and the “Mike” secondary – seem to be settled with new starters.
Others, however, have a plot.

Cardinals Training Camp Position Battle: defensive line
The defensive line battle will be fun because it is loaded. Before the start of the camp, there were eight players who should be on a list: Calais Campbell, Dalvin Tomlinson, Justin Jones, Bilal Nichols, 2024 Pick of the first round Darius Robinson, 2025 Pick of the first round Walter Nolen III, Dante Stills and LJ necklace.
They will only keep six or seven.
Now Nolen has a calf injury that will keep him out of most, if not all, the training camp, and he could start the season on PUP, and Nichols has not yet completely recovered from the neck injury he suffered last year. Maybe this is enough to facilitate the training of the list.

As for playing time, the cardinals love to rotate their players, so most will be able to play. Campbell and Tomlinson will certainly start, because Campbell leads all NFL players with 242 career departures and Tomlinson began the 125 games he played in his career.
But who will be the third starter? Will it be Jones, signed the last off-season and who started every match he played after his recruit season? Will it be Robinson?
Stills and necklace were the two most productive defensive line players in cardinals last year. Now these are both at the bottom of the depth table in the eight mentioned.
Will there be a place for the non-drained recruit Elijah Simmons, who impressed in the spring?

The injuries have shaken the defensive line of cardinals in recent seasons. Ideally, it will be competition and not the attrition that makes decisions for coaches.
But it is a group to monitor during training and pre-season.
