Strategist
Stock Down: Hendon Hooker
A second perfect pre-season match of Allen mainly earned him the QB2 work. […] “I thought Kyle has done a good job again, these are three games in a row, and training too, you can never forget these training sessions,” said Lions coach Dan Campbell after the match. “You had some mistakes in this charge match to start the season, and really from there, it has become better and better. Today, it was the proof of him again. I thought he had done a good job.
It’s good to see Kyle really take him where he left. Feel very comfortable with him.

For Hooker, it was another disappointing game, based by five non -score discs and another which ended with a turnover. Campbell did not chop words in its post-match meter.“” […] How much development do you think there is still? Sometimes, does the player need a change of scenery? What about our own depth in other areas? Campbell asked.
I thought he was ready. I thought he was ready. It was quite calm, the circumstances did not work today. “”

Neutral stock: Craig Reynolds, Jacob Saylier
Did not play: Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, Sione Vaki (not disclosed)
Not a lot of surprises with the Running Backs group. Reynolds looked like RB3, and Saylier is the candidate probably a leader for the training team.

Wide receiver
-
Neutral stock: Dominic Lovett *, Jackson Meeks *, Tom Kennedy, Ronnie Bell
-
Stock Down: Malik Taylor, Jakobie Keeney-James *
Did not play: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Tim Patrick, Kalif Raymond
Teslaa made a walking worm after catching a magnificent pass of touch of 33 yards from Allen. The duo called him a day after that, and rightly so.
I was really hoping for a force test between Lovett and Meeks in their battle for WR6, but with Hooker’s difficulties, the two were whitewashed on the score sheet. The special teams did not help much to separate them either, because the two were the starting artillerymen on the coverage of clearance covers, although Lovett obtained a kick as a kick.
Kennedy and Bell hit the door, but I’m not sure to provide enough special team juice to justify a WR6 role. Keeney-James and Taylor only entered the game the second half, illustrating their place on the depth board.

END
-
Neutral stock: Shane Zylstra
-
Stock Down: Zach Horton *, Steven Stilianos, Gunnar Oakes
Did not play: Sam Laporta, Brock Wright
When Allen and Teslaa came out, Zylstra too (except a little work of special teams), which probably shows it by winning the Te3 work. Horton looked good as a blocker in the back, but he was reported for a false start in attack and a maintenance penalty on special teams, certainly injuring his stock.

Offensive line
-
Stock up: Kingsley Eguakun, Kayode Awosika
-
Neutral stock: Dan Skipper, Giovanni Manu, Netane Muti
-
Stock Down: Zack Johnson, Michael Niese, Mason Miller *, Gunner Britton
-
Did not play: Taylor Decker, Christian Mahany, Graham Glasgow, Penei Sewell, Tate Ratledge *, Jamarco JonesWounded: Miles Frazier * (Active / puppy
), Trystan Colon (elbow)
Awosika joined Allen, Teslaa and Zylstra when leaving the first two records (he was replaced by Niese), which probably shows him to have security in his reserve role. Eguakun seems to have won the C2 role and continues to show well in the race game. The skipper, Manu and Muti were solid, and if the Lions kept 10 offensive line players, Muti would have a blow – I am simply not sold on what is happening.

Defender
-
Stock Up: Al-Quadin Muhammad, Mitchell Agude
Did not play: Aidan Hutchinson, Marcus Davenport
Muhammad has solidified its place as Edge 3, and Agude probably had its best pre-season match, but was it too late? Lynn was the best of the reserve trio (Lynn-Ukwu-Agude), and has done some pressures in this game, but it is also difficult to predict if it has done enough to win a place. Ukwu has improved well, but again, it is difficult to justify a place for him right now.

Defensive tackle
-
Stock up: 4i Pat O’Connor, 4i / 3t Keith Cooper *
-
Neutral stock: nt / 3t Chris Smith, 3t Myles Adams
-
Stock Down: NT Brodric Martin
Don’t Play: DJ Reader, Tyleik Williams *, Roy Lopez, Mekhi Wingo
O’Connor started at 4i, which is probably where he will have to start the season. Cooper continues to be stable, but the 4i depth of the Lions and the Wingo acclimatization period will probably determine its place on the list. Smith and Adams were stable, and both started this game: Smith At Nose Tackle and Adams at 3-Technique. It should be noted that when Martin arrived, Smith moved to the 3T in the second half, illustrating his reliability.

Second

Stock up: Sam / Mike Trevor Nowaske
-
Neutral stock: Mike Zach Cunningham, will grant Stuard
-
Stock Down: Mike Anthony Pittman, Will Daron Gilbert
-
Did not play: Jack Campbell, Alex Anzalone, Derrick BarnesWounded: Malcolm Rodriguez (Active / puppy
), Will Ezekiel Turner (Injured ankle)
Nowaske made games from the roles of Sam and Mike, and was undoubtedly the team’s best defender against the Texans. In the basic sets, Nowaske played the SAM with the first and second teams, but when the lions entered second team nickel sets, he moved to Mike and showed his range to operate the ground.

Corner
-
Stock Down: Nick Whiteside, Tyson Russell, DJ Miller Did not play: DJ Reed, Terrion Arnold(tendon)
Amik Robertson, Khalil Dorsey
A difficult day for the group of half of the corner, because even the player who made positive games would make an obvious mistake a few games later. For example, George was upgraded to a starting role in this game, and has shown great tenacity to define the advantage over a drawing line player, performing the stack and the merchants of manuals. Unfortunately, a few games later, he was caught too much inside and left an open background for a precipitated touch.

Security
-
Stock up: Erick Hallett, Loren Strickland
-
Stock Neutral: Rock Ya-Sin, Avonte Maddox, Ian Kennelly *
Did not play: Brian Branch, Kerby Joseph (not disclosed)
Hallett has started safe and has now started at the five defensive places of the pre-season. This incredible versatility gives coaches a feeling of security and will certainly help their chances of making the list. Strickland did not take the ground before the second half for the third consecutive match, but he broke anyone who entered his part of the field. He looked good as security, but I am always confused to explain why he does not get many representatives of the special teams, despite a place on last year’s list because of his game in the third phase. Kennelly failed to defend the defense, but he continues to start in several phases of special teams, even expanding his role on Kick Return.

Specialists
Neutral stock: Jake Bates, Jack Fox, Hogan Hatten
Hatton has executed a solid tackle on the cover of the clearance boots, then got up and bent towards his teammates. I asked him questions about it in the locker room after the match, and he laughed, saying that it probably looked like a great success than it showed him on television. It’s always nice to see the players have a good time during the pre-season.
