The receiver of the Detroit Lions, Isaac Teslaa, finished his impressive pre-season with a blow after the recruit reduced his third hit in as many competitions during the 26-7 defeat against the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon.
Teslaa caught two balls for 41 yards, with her 33 yards On a deep ball on the touch of quarterrier Kyle Allen being the highlight.
“It was a very detailed route”, ” Lions Head coach Dan Campbell said After the match. “It tells you that he takes coaching and that he is growing up.”
The Arkansas product ends its first pre-season in the NFL with eight catches for 146 reception yards and three affected.
According to Campbell, Teslaa did enough to win a role with the team in early 2025, which is a great vote of confidence for the recruit.
“He will continue to improve. I am very happy. We are very satisfied with the place where he is after six weeks of camp because that is really what it was. We have just finished six weeks, so I would say that if you take most of the receivers, it would be in the upper level of these, with regard to development,” said Campbell. “It’s pretty good. It is not easy to develop as a receiver in this league and to be ready to leave.
“I think there is a place for him to help us at the start of this season.”
Teslaa declared that her goal this off -season was to Win the confidence of his teammates and coachesAnd the young large receiver thinks he did exactly that.
“Obviously, as a recruit, always trying to find my role in this team. Just to be able to build this confidence of coach staff and the offense as everything, the Callers, then, finally, my teammates, I think it is a very great thing for me as a recruit,” said Teslaa.
The ascent of Teslaa is bad news for the veteran Tim Patrick, who could lose snaps against the recruit. Patrick fought against injuries in the training camp and, according to all accounts, he did not have a solid performance during the summer overall.
With the pre-season 2025 in books, the Lions will reduce their list to 53 before Tuesday, then Detroit turns his attention to his week 1 match against Green Bay packers on September 7.
