The penalties continue to pile up for the Green Bay Packers, who have so far managed to overcome them

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Green Bay Packers The Islanders had penalty kill problems for the second straight game, but penalties didn’t have the upper hand in the final outcome.

THE Packers were penalized 10 times for 75 yards in their Victory 30-14 during the Tennessee Titans Sunday, a week after being called for six penalties for 50 yards in a Victory 16-10 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Among Sunday’s most costly plays was Preston Smith’s offsides call on the Titans’ first possession, a penalty that negated a sack by Rashan Gary on third down. Packers four points, because instead of kicking a short field goal, the Titans had another chance to convert on third down, did so, and scored a touchdown on the next play.

Left tackle Rachid Walker Brayden Narveson was penalized twice, once for holding the ball and once for illegal use of hands, on the Packers’ final drive of the first half. Brayden Narveson ended up kicking a 26-yard field goal on the final play of the half.

Elgton Jenkins also earned two penalties for holding the ball, both in the second half.

“We obviously have to work on our rules a little bit,” guard Sean Rhyan said.

So far in three games this season, the Packers have taken 26 penalties, fifth-most in the NFL. They also have eight offensive holding penalties, a league-high. Their 196 penalty yards rank eighth in the NFL.

The Minnesota Vikings, this week’s opponent, have combined for 19 penalties for 146 yards, both of which rank in the middle of the league.
