    Kahuku’s Alohi Gilman leads Chargers to victory

    Kahuku’s Alohi Gilman had the best game of his young 2024 season so far, making a team-high 10 tackles (six solo) with a sack and a pass deflection in a 23-16 win over the Denver Broncos.

    Gilman, who signed a two-year, $10.125 million extension with the Chargers, is currently in his fifth year with the team and has been a regular presence at safety since his freshman year.

    Below are the performances of other Hawaii-bound players in Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season:

    Active list

    Malaesala Aumavae-Lauluoffensive lineman, Baltimore Ravens (Keaau): Aumavae-Laulu was declared inactive before the team’s 30-23 victory over the Washington Commanders.

    Ka’imi Fairbairnkicker, Houston Texans (Punahou): Fairbairn made two of his three field goal attempts, as well as all five of his extra point attempts in a 41-21 victory over the New England Patriots.

    Kamu Grugier-Hilllinebacker, Minnesota Vikings (Kamehameha): The Vikings had a bye for Week 6.

    Nick Herbiglinebacker, Pittsburgh Steelers (Saint Louis): Herbig was ruled out earlier in the week.

    Andrei Iosivasreceiver, Cincinnati Bengals (Punahou): Iosivas had two catches for 36 yards in a 17-7 win over the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

    Jonas Lauludefensive lineman, Las Vegas Raiders (University of Hawaii): Laulu made two tackles in a 32-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    Marist Liufaulinebacker, Dallas Cowboys (Punahou): Liufau made two tackles (one solo) in a 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions.

    Marcus Mariotaquarterback, Washington Commanders (Saint Louis): Mariota was active but did not play in the team’s 30-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

    Kana’i Maugalinebacker, Las Vegas Raiders (Waianae): Mauga was active but did not accumulate any stats in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    Darius Muasaulinebacker, New York Giants (Mililani and University of Hawaii): Muasau was active but did not accumulate any stats in a 17-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night.

    Rigoberto Sanchezpunter, Indianapolis Colts (University of Hawaii): Sanchez punted five times for a total of 271 yards, including three times inside the 20 and a touchdown in a 20-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans. His final punt pinned the Titans at their 3 with 12 seconds left.

    Isaac Seumalooffensive lineman, Pittsburgh Steelers (born in Hawaii): Seumalo started at left guard in a 32-13 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

    Jahlani Tavaïlinebacker, New England Patriots (University of Hawaii): Tavai had eight tackles (three solo) in a 41-21 loss to the Houston Texans.

    Romain Wilsonwide receiver, Pittsburgh Steelers (Saint Louis): Wilson made his NFL debut, playing five offensive snaps but not receiving a target.
