Does Alvin Kamara want to be traded to the Denver Broncos?

After the Denver Broncos’ convincing victory over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night, Sean Payton ran into one of his former Saints players on the field and the two had a brief conversation. Was Alvin Kamara ask his former coach to trade for him?

This is what Internet users are speculating on social networks.

While this could be far-reaching, it can’t really be ignored. Additionally, a trade between the Broncos and Saints for Kamara would make sense.

Payton was in New Orleans when the team drafted Kamara in the third round of the 2017 draft. He was there to help him become one of the best running backs in the NFL as Kamara made the Pro Bowl every year from 2017 to 2021. With the NFL trade deadline just over two weeks away, the rumors will start to intensify.

Denver Broncos’ acquisition of Alvin Kamara makes sense for both sides

The Saints are falling quickly this year. They look nothing like the team that beat the Dallas Cowboys and started the season 2-0. They have lost five games in a row and may be looking to sell assets.

The Broncos are 4-3 and while they have a list of players who could be moved before the trade deadline, they could also be buyers before the deadline. Payton has shown a willingness to bring to Denver the players he coached in New Orleans and Kamara, the best player currently on the Saints roster, is obviously a player he would be interested in.

The Broncos opened the ground game against the Saints on Thursday, but the team doesn’t currently have a premier running back on the roster, no matter how much you like Javonte Williams. Kamara is on a completely different level and he would be able to give the Broncos a premier runner, but he is also one of the best receiving running backs in the league.

Kamara had a terrible game Thursday night, gaining just 24 total yards. The Saints are currently a bad team, mainly because they have been hampered by injuries, but a fresh start would be ideal for both teams.

Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports views the Broncos as a potential fit for Kamara and that’s because if the Saints decide to move him, the Broncos should be on a short list of teams he would go to. The Saints would lose a massive contract (Kamara is owed $29 million in 2025), but the team that trades him could just as easily move on from him after this season to save a significant amount against their own salary cap.

Kamara will hit the 30-year-old mark next July, typically the age where most running backs start to regress, but the Broncos could get a lot more out of him as a safety-valve receiver for a growing Bo Nix while mixing it with their committee. ball carriers.

The stars might align for Kamara to end up in the Mile High City.
