In October, before the team’s Week 8 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants co-owner John Mara has given a vote of confidence to general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll.
Mara told reporters he doesn’t plan to make any changes during the season and he doesn’t plan to fire anyone after the season ends.

Since then, the Giants have lost three straight games, including a humiliating 20-17 overtime loss to the lowly Carolina Panthers in Munich, Germany last Sunday.
Following their current five-game skid, the Giants are currently projected to go second overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. It’s a precarious position from the regime’s perspective, NFL insider Adam Schefter said.
“I don’t know if anyone can say that anyone is safe in New York,” Schefter said during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. “I don’t know if anyone can say that anyone is safe when you’re on track to hold the No. 1 pick in the draft.”
Schefter points out that Mara gave a similar vote of confidence to Ben McAdoo in 2017 before firing him, and then again to Joe Judge in 2021 before firing him.
Ultimately, all options will likely be on the table if the team’s poor season continues.
“I think they’re going to look at everything (this offseason) and I think anything is possible,” Schefter said.
