Bears odds: Chicago is the big underdog at home against the Packers in Week 11

THE Chicago Bear (4-5) will welcome the Green Bay Packers (6-3) in Week 11, where Chicago looks to end a three-game losing streak as divisional play gets underway.

Chicago is coming off an embarrassing 19-3 loss to the New England Patriots, marking their third straight loss since the bye week. The Bears’ offense scored a season-low three points against one of the worst defenses in the league, allowed nine sacks on one pass that totaled 16 sacks in eight total games and was held to just 142 total yards. Chicago’s defense did its part, holding New England under 20 points, but this game was lost in the first quarter with an offense that had just 27 points and two touchdowns in the last three games.

Meanwhile, Green Bay is coming off a bye week, which has been hit or miss under head coach Matt LaFleur. They went 2-3 in non-bye games under LaFleur, although they had some success later. The Packers are currently 6-3 and in third place in the NFC North and poised to clinch one of those final wild card spots. The last time Green Bay faced the Bears during the bye week, they beat them 45-30 at Lambeau Field in December 2021.

The Bears opened as 6.5-point home underdogs against the Packers in Week 11, according to BetMGM. The plus/minus is set at 41.

With Chicago’s dysfunction and historical tendency to lose to Green Bay, oddsmakers don’t seem to give them a chance in this game. The home team usually has three points, so the Bears look more like 9.5-point underdogs against the Packers. Chicago hasn’t beaten Green Bay since December 2018, and the way this season is going isn’t going to change anytime soon.

The Bears were favored against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1, the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, the Carolina Panthers in Week 5, the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6, the Chicago Commanders Washington in Week 8 and the Patriots in Week 10. They were underdogs against the Houston Texans in Week 1. Week 2, Indianapolis Colts in Week 3, Arizona Cardinals in the week 9 and now Packers in week 11.
