THE Jacksonville Jaguars will face their first playoff elimination scenarios of the 2024 season in Week 13.
With a 2-9 record and last place in the AFC South, a loss to the Houston Texans (7-5) on Sunday would eliminate Jacksonville from its divisional race, according to NFLplayoffscenarios.com.
Additionally, the Jaguars would be eliminated from the playoffs by losing to the Los Angeles Chargers (7-4) and Denver Broncos (7-5), both winning or tying their Week 13 games, to the Falcons of Atlanta (6-5) and Cleveland Browns (3-8), respectively.
The Jaguars were the first team excluded from a No. 1 playoff seed this season when the final whistle blew in their 52-6 loss to the Detroit Lions (10-1) in the eleventh week.
Las Vegas Raiders (2-9), New York Giants (2-9), New England Patriots (3-9), Carolina Panthers (3-8), Tennessee Titans (3-8), the New York Jets (3-8) and the Browns have since followed suit. Jacksonville is now also out of the running for the No. 2 and 3 seeds in the AFC playoffs.
The Jaguars and Texans’ Week 13 game at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville is scheduled to begin Sunday at 1 p.m.
Houston defeated Jacksonville in the Jaguars’ first AFC South game of the year, 24-20 in Week 4.
