THE Green Bay Packers are returning to Thanksgiving for a second straight year and hosting a game over the holiday for the first time since 2015.
The Packers host the Miami Dolphins to close out the NFL’s three-game Thanksgiving schedule Thursday night. Previous games feature the Chicago Bears taking on the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants taking on the Dallas Cowboys.
While the Packers have made a habit of playing on Thanksgiving throughout their rich history, it is rare for them to do so several years in a row. This is the first time they have played in consecutive years during the holidays since meeting the Detroit Lions each year from 1951-1963.
