It almost seems like Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is praising the Washington CommandersDan Quinn and Jayden Daniels, more than his own team.
OK, we might be exaggerating a bit, but Parsons hasn’t been shy about expressing his love and respect for Quinn, who coached him during his first three seasons in the NFL. The two remain close despite Quinn coaching one of Dallas’ main rivals.
Parsons also shared his thoughts on Daniels – Washington’s spectacular rookie quarterback. He’s a big fan.
This week, Parsons and the Cowboys host the Commanders in the regular season finale. Dallas is done after this game, while Washington is headed to the playoffs. Although they have already clinched a playoff spot, Sunday is an important one for the Commanders, who are trying to secure sixth place overall in the NFC.
On the latest episode of his podcast, “The Edge,” Parsons shared how impressed he was with Daniels after his performances in wins over the Eagles and Falcons over the past two weeks.
“Obviously against Jayden Daniels, we’ve seen over the last couple of weeks, he’s ice cold,” Parsons said. “I think if Jayden Daniels was doing what he’s doing now, well, he was doing it a little bit before the rib injury; I think the rib injury held him back. But what I’ve noticed over the last few weeks is he’s not afraid to run I think if he didn’t have that rib injury, we’re looking at, you know, an MVP conversation for him Obviously, he locked up the. title of offensive rookie of the year, I haven’t seen more composure rookie since I’ve been in the NFL and probably the past besides Lamar. [Jackson]probably for five, seven years.
Parsons would praise Daniels for his composure, calling him the best rookie in recent years.
Parsons and Daniels would see each other for years.
