Let’s go back to blueberries for Detroit Lions.
THE Lions (15-2) will wear their all-Honolulu Blue Uniformswith blue jerseys and pants, which fans affectionately call “blueberries”, when welcoming the Washington Commanders (13-5) in their Divisional round game at 8:10 p.m. Saturday at Ford Field.
The team announced the uniform selection on social media Friday evening.
They are 5-0 undefeated this season when wearing blue; in fact, the Lions haven’t lost in “blueberries” since 2022. They haven’t lost at home since 2020.
They beat the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans wearing this combination this season.
Last season, they beat the Rams in the wild-card game and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional game, wearing blue for the franchise’s first playoff victories since the 1991 season.
The Lions last wore uniform in Week 14 when they defeated the Packers, 34-31, on December 5.
