Jason Kelce to choose a super bowl roots an interest between eagles, chiefs: “ anyone wins, I’m going to be happy ”

Jason Kelce has a deep affection for the two teams playing in the Super Bowl Lix. On the one hand, his younger brother Travis, hugs for the Kansas City chiefs that have been working in his life for over 35 years. On the other side are the Eagles of Philadelphia, the team for which he spent 13 years playing after being a sixth round draft choice in 2011.

The last time the chiefs and the Eagles met in the last match of the NFL season – Super Bowl LVII in 2022 – Jason Kelce line up against his brother. Kansas City would finally prevail for the second time in four seasons, but the Kelce family was divided into what they supported.

Now that Jason Kelce is a retired season of the NFL and Travis Kelce and the Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl in search of a third consecutive title, it might seem that Jason’s rooting interest was clear. But it is complicated as he explained on the edition of this week of “New summits” podcast.

“I’m still going to root my brother,” said Kelce Wearing a hat and an Eagles shirt. “I’m always going to root Travis. But there are a lot of people in the organization of Philadelphia, whether players, coaches, people in the building, who seem to me an extended family, in particular my former lines of lines. Like, Lane Johnson feels like a brother, in many ways.

“I am also rooted for these guys. And I’m going to be sad for the other side.

“This is similar to the last time we played [in the Super Bowl]Maybe a little less intense because I don’t play now. I think it will be very, very similar, I do it. I live in Philadelphia, I always go to the installations very regularly. I always feel like I am an Eagle of Philadelphia and I am one of all those people who root and encourage our team.

“I would lie if I said that I don’t want the eagles to win. I want them to do it. But I also want Travis Kelce to win. It’s a long -term way to say that I just want to see a good football match and whoever wins, I’m going to be happy for that [side.]””

Jason Kelce, who has since added as a panelist on “Monday Night Countdown” of ESPN to his career curriculum vitae after the game, said that he would not wear red during the match on February 9 in New- Orleans. Travis Kelce suggested that the long-standing NFL Center wore a half-time jersey similar to what their mother gave was wearing when the chiefs and the Eagles met for the last time in the Super Bowl. This idea was killed and Jason said he could be satisfied with something that promotes the podcast of the brothers who is not red or green.
