It was another fascinating week of senior Bowl cabinets in Mobile, Alberta, while some of the first prospects for university football for the next NFL draft in 2025 took the ground against the other Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The senior bowl was a foundation of scouting for the Houston Texans Under the director general Nick Caserio, with players such as the Ballon Porceur Pierce, the wide receiver Tank Dell, the defensive back Jalen Pitre and the pro Bowl Nico Collins receiver playing before in the event.
It should be noted what players could take into account the Caserio equation and others which may have a huge impact on how the board of directors is shaking before their choice.
John Crumper from Texans Wire was on the scene with five key observations of the senior bowl, namely for Houston fans entering the next stage of the NFL recovery cycle.
Do not expect the QB class to help Texans
It is not a secret, it is a small quarter class.
The Miami Cam district and Colorado Shader are currently only two prospects with the buzz in the first round at this stage of the draft process. After three days, it seems that all the other names will join them.
There was a high level of second perspectives at the senior Bowl, including Jalen Milroe in Alabama, OLE MISS“Jaxson Dart, Riley Leonard de Notre Dame and Dillon Gabriel de l’Oregon, who could all assert a case as potential selections of day 2.
No one, however, stood out as a constant force.
Milroe showed her physical features on the training field and improved in training every day. However, the inaccuracy that tormented him at university and some late throws were noticeable while working with the new group of receivers. He always has a chance to go to the top 50 with the talent bundle he brings to the position, but the week was far from being a home victory for him despite great completion to finish the training on Thursday .
Dart seemed to be the most natural football launcher while Leonard and Gabriel failed to make a big impression. It was a week full of defense defense checks and bags.
These three will have a chance to make an impression in the Bowl Senior match on Saturday, but do not expect any of the quarters after Milroe to push the top 100 talent on the board of Houston.
Trevor Etienne shines, other big names stall
Trevor Etienne de Georgie was by far the best runner on the mobile. He showed his insanion, his brilliance and his advantage in the reception game which was unequaled among his peers.
Etienne looks like a player who could land in the Top 100 and immediately become an asset for his NFL team in the passage game.
After Etienne, the other big mobile names are somewhat disappointed, notably Donovan Edwards from Michigan and Ollie Gordon from Oklahoma State. The two were not impressive in individual exercises as passes or blockers and often looked steep on their races.
Their impact comes mainly with their physique, which can shine much brighter in a real gaming environment, but it was difficult to call this week a victory for one or the other marquee player.
Devin Neal du Kansas, Woody Marks from the USC and Damien Martinez de Miami are other names that deserve to be looked at that have impressed in Mobile and could be a good choice for Houston on day 3.
Tight end = 2025 nfl draft premium position
The tight -ended room seems loaded for the next draft. Tyler Warren from Penn State and Colston Loveland of Michigan dominate the discussion in the first round, but the senior Bowl had a crowd of players who could pass day 2.
Elijah Arroyo de Miami and Terrance Ferguson de l’Oeron had excellent weeks in training while Harold Fannin de Bowling Green struggled early, but was better able to show his receptive prowess over the week.
Jackson Hawes of Georgia Tech had impressive captures despite his reputation as a blocker and confirmed that he had met the Texans in mobile. Hawes added that energy at the Houston meeting was one of his favorites all week.
The Texans seem to be well fixed in Dalton Schultz, Cade Stover and Brevin Jordan, but there is a lot of depth here if the new attacking coordinator wants to add to the post during the draft.
Consider the interior trenches to help in the top 100
Houston needs help both in the interior offensive line and the interior defensive line while they are preparing for 2025. Fortunately, the senior Bowl had several excellent prospects that deserve to be looked at.
Gray Zabel from North Dakota looked dominant in individual and team exercises while playing both the places on duty and the center throughout the week. He could be an immediate plug-And-play player for Texans anywhere on their interior offensive line.
Jalen Rivers de Miami had an excellent week in Guard and confirmed that he had also met the team. Jonah Savaiaea of Arizona and Miles Frazier de LSU are other names that deserve to be watched.
On the defensive side, Deone Walker of Ole Miss Walter Nolen and Kentucky looked dominant for the American team. One or the other could be a manufacturer of instant difference at the point of tackle 3-tech or 1-tech respectively.
In the national team, Darius Alexander of Toledo and Joshua Farmer of the state of Florida stood out and the two would have the flexibility to play one or the other of the platform places in the defense of the head coach Demeco Ryans. Notably,
Alexander confirmed that he had met the Texans and that I would like to play with Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr.
Second level competitors
The positions of the seconds and the corner half are not needs for the Texans after an out -of -competition game in their current group last season. However, that does not mean that there were no mobile players who stood out and could make a difference if they joined the Houston locker room.
Smael Mondon Jr. in Georgia had an excellent week and was able to show his athletics in cover exercises against the seconds. Jack Kiser of Notre Dame and Nick Martin of Oklahoma State were also impossible to miss as they flew on the field in team exercises.
The corner half of Louisville Quincy Riley looked like the best player in his position throughout the week. He flashed fluid hips, sticky blanket and was able to put his hand several times on football. Riley almost resumed the quarter of the national team ending the session impressively.
Azareye’h Thomas de Florida State and Jacob Parrish of the state of Kansas, both also had several passing of pass throughout the week.
If Houston wants to build the second level of his defense, these are names that deserve to be known for day 2 and day 3 of the next draft.
