The Chicago Bears hired the former attacking coordinator of the Detroit Lions, Ben Johnson, making him the seventh highest head coach of the NFL. Johnson should work with the quarter-Arrière Caleb Williams and improve the 32nd Bears offense.

Johnson met players from the Bears facilities and left a first impression. “I found myself afraid,” admitted DJ Moore to Wideout via Up & Adams on X. “He said” being comfortable being uncomfortable “,” said Moore. When asked if the fans should like it, he quickly replied: “You should.”

This message was probably not supposed to instill fear. But everything that works. The first year, Rome Odunze had a different point to take away. “I liked its intensity. I thought he brought a level of intensity that was inspiring … I think he will bring this to the organization and the team as a whole and I think that is what we need ”, a declared Odunze.

Johnson was one of the most coveted head coach candidates on this hiring cycle and the Bears landed. Johnson admitted that Williams had played an important role in his decision to take the post in Chicago. The Bears have selected Williams for the first time in the 2024 draft. The recruit passer organized a decent first season, launching 3,541 yards with 20 touchdown and six interceptions. However, he led the league with 68 bags and the Bears went 5-12. However, Johnson sees the potential of Williams and the offense.

Moore ended his second season in Chicago as a reliable army for Williams. He had 98 receptions for 966 yards and six affected. The seven -year -old veteran did not fail to publish his fifth career season of 1,000 yards in 2024 and he should prosper in the Johnson system with Williams under the center.

Moore seemed surprised when he learned that Johnson was gaining $ 13 million per year as a head coach of the Bears, saying: “Draw, it’s a lot of money.” But after treating coaching less than on his mandate, Moore admitted: “When you find the right person to lead the team and the good spirit, money is not an object.”

The bears were clearly convinced that they had found the right person. The team hired Johnson without interviewing in person because they were impatient to lock the 38 -year -old coach.
