The changes continue to cascade throughout the organization of Tennessee Titans this offseason.
Not only did the team took a new direction by completely reorganizing its front office staff and by making multiple modifications to its coach staff, but it will also have new faces on its training staff.
Todd Torislli, vice-president of sports medicine, retires and said goodbye to his 35-year career in the NFL. An important figure in sports medicine and a highly respected member of staff, he has traveled a long way since his days as a steel worker.
The longtime member of the Titans organization shared some thoughts With Jim Wyatt before leaving the organization.
“Being a chief coach for 35 years, as much as I appreciated it, it is just time for me,” said Torislli. “I will be 64 in a month and we work about 90 hours a week during the season. People continue to ask me what I’m going to do, and honestly, I don’t know because I could never do anything.
The Titans hired Torisnelli as Director of Sports Medicine in 2014 after 17 years with the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay. He was appointed Vice-President of Sports Medicine for the organization in 2022 and Honoré of the prize of the exceptional sports coach of the year 2022-23 at the NFL.
Before entering the NFL in 1997, he spent seven years as chief athletic coach in the ranks of the college, separated between Stanford, Miami (Florida) and Kansas State.
Although he says goodbye to the Titans and the NFL, his presence will always be felt through the League. Six current NFL chief sports coaches began to work under Torislli, and its techniques have influenced many other training departments.
The veteran Matt Gregg, who joined the Titans nine years ago, will be promoted to replace Torislli. Gregg has spent the last six seasons as a Trainer Athletic Athletic, working alongside Torislli.
